Your Green Team has been working hard this season to improve our grading from a B+ in 2022 to a higher grade. Extensive work was carried out last year by our contractor to replace the wooden green edge supports with concrete and level the green surface on rink 5 & 6. This was completed earlier this year which allowed the Green Team to concentrate on improving the speed of the green.
Northamptonshire Green Inspectorate visited our club on Wednesday last and carried out a detailed inspection and testing of the green.
I am pleased to announce that we have been notified that our green has now been regraded to A-. Out of 43 affiliated clubs in the County only 14 currently hold an A grading. A short video below shows some of the testing work being carried out.
